Welcome to my website! I am a Special Events and Portrait Photographer. As a photographer I believe that photography is more than just capturing an image of what is in front of me; rather I see it as an opportunity to express feelings. I enjoy utilizing the camera as my tool with which to convey life’s emotions. I am so privileged to do what I love, capturing High School Seniors, Families,Children,Engagements, and Special Events. It is my pleasure that you have taken interest in my work and I hope you find what you are looking for. Don't forget to revisit often for sneak peeks...

2011 Invisible Children Charity Event

This has been Shannon Hair Salon’s 4th annual charity event, this time benefiting a non-profit group Invisible Children Inc. Teamed up with them were such sponsors like Azul Tequila, The Cookie Couture and Lee’s Wine Bistro. During their silent auction Invisible Children Inc. screened the “Roseline” documentary.
With this being my second time around asked to work with these fast paced, show stopping hair and make-up styling pros, I knew I would need to shoot with rapid fire image capturing attitude. I wanted to deliver somewhat different images that would differ from the previous year. As all photographers do, I looked for the best natural light, reflections, and white surfaces from which to bounce light. All these factors, presented themselves to me as I guided one of the models outside to shoot her in the natural light. The reflection of the red carpet bouncing onto the metallic front door counter was a sure temptation for me to try a few shoots. In short, it was a great spot to use as a backdrop with the combination of my flash to add the catch light in the models eyes. I am happy to say that the way I cooked my images of all the beautiful models on and off the runway, shows the hard work and dedication that took place at the 2011 Shannon Hair Salon Charity Event. Special thanks to all these beautiful enthusiastic models that helped make it a successful night for all!

Daniel -Teen Musician

What a great time and opportunity it is to be able to photograph young talent, as well as, to learn about their strives and journeys. This was the case on this past warm sunny day in Santa Monica. It was fun shooting away and capturing Daniel making playful and serious gestures, which in turn show off his great personality.

Daniel started playing drums at around age three. Naturally, gifted with a good sense of rhythm, he moved to piano at about age six. He expanded his music experience by adding bass guitar to his list of musical instruments by age nine. Daniel has played bass in several pre-teen and teen rock bands from 2008 to present. One of his most memorable experiences was performing on the stage of the world-famous Whisky A Go-Go in Hollywood, California. Daniel continues to improve his “chops” as a bass player, playing with other talented musicians in the Santa Clarita area.

Crunchy Leaves

I had an absolute blast capturing these two sisters at play.  What children do best, is to explore their environment.  So naturally, I knew with having to do a photo shoot of a toddler and pre-schooler, that the best place to do it would be outdoors!  I basically allowed the youngest to take the lead, because I knew I could give the oldest directions.  When there is a cute toddler involved there is no posing the subject.  Instead, I had to apply simple strategic placement of the older child.  All in all, it was extremely enjoyable to discover the texture and sound of “crunchy leaves”.  Also, bench climbing was equally as exciting!  But, the highlight of the photo session was taking the time to smell the roses, as you can see in these images!  We had great afternoon of exploration…
